Maybe "Old Growth" means what it says, or maybe its Stephen McCarty's beard size. Whatever the implication is that is what Dead Meadow has done on this record "Grow". Known for more of the heavier end of the spectrum Old Growth has more of a mellow almost more chill feel to it. All in all i have to say it has grown on me and sets Dead Meadow up on a path to a new more unique sound. 3 of 5 stars
